Ramhan Island's shoreline was shaped by nature long before any masterplan touched it, so the mangroves, sandbanks and tidal channels residents see today are the same ones that were always there.
Eagle Hills has routed the island's roads, utilities and tram line around that terrain rather than levelling it, keeping eco-parks, mangrove boardwalks and quiet stargazing spots as a permanent part of everyday life on the island.
A dedicated bridge to the mainland is under construction; until it opens, a 10-minute ferry keeps the island connected to Abu Dhabi.
